Prof. Dr. Jean-Marie Aerts: Professor and head of the Animal and Human Health Engineering Division at KU Leuven, leads the Measure, Model & Manage Bioresponses lab. Has many years of experience on technology development related to model-based biological data analytics and is a data-based monitoring and control specialist.
Prof. Dr. Lies Geris: Professor in Biomechanics and Computational Tissue Engineering at the universities of Liège and Leuven. She is the executive director of the Virtual Physiological Human Institute which advocates the use of in silico modeling in healthcare through liaising with the clinical community, the European Commission and Parliament and regulatory agencies. Her research focusses on the multi-scale and multi-physics modeling of biological processes.
